TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Upon booking with Acorn Dog Training Club, you agree to having read, understood and accepting our terms and conditions. On completion of the booking process and acceptance of our terms and conditions, your contract with Acorn Dog Training Club will begin.

 Group Classes & 121s

•    Please keep your dog on lead at all times unless directed otherwise by Acorn Dog Training Club.

•    Please keep a respectable 6 foot distance from other dogs unless you know the other dog is friendly and you have previously met. Please bear in mind there may be dogs with hidden behavioural issues that need space.

•    Please advise the instructor of any history of aggression in your dog, particularly when registering your dog for the first time.

•    Full-choke collars, prong collars, shock collars and anti-bark devices will not be allowed in class. Slip leads, figure of 8 leads and other head halters may be worn unless deemed unfit by the trainer. We reserve the right to ask you to leave if you do not comply. We strongly recommend against these devices and encourage conversation about more ethical and appropriate equipment going forward.

•    Muzzles are welcome and encouraged if your dog needs to wear one. This can be removed upon further discussion if deemed appropriate. Please ensure your dog's muzzle has adequate pant room, particularly in warm weather.

•    You are responsible for cleaning up after your dog/s should they go to the toilet and are responsible for all the behaviour and actions of your dog/s. Please follow all instructions at all times, including all safety instructions and proper use of dog training equipment.

•    Please report any hazard or risk that could be a health and safety concern and any incident or accident whether or not personal injury was sustained.

•    No bitches ‘in season’ may be brought to the club. You must not attend for 2 weeks after bleeding has finished to ensure season has finished.

•    Never knowingly bring a dog to a training class that is displaying, or been in contact with another dog displaying, any sign or form of illness. Dogs displaying Kennel Cough will not be allowed to attend training until 2 weeks after they have finished coughing. In a multi dog family where one dog is ill, no dog will be allowed to attend training until all dogs are clear of all symptoms.

•    You as the client are responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred. We are not liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst undergoing training with Acorn Dog Training Club. We cannot be held responsible and all fees must be paid by you, the owner, if required.

•    Although we hold Public Liability insurance, it is highly recommended you insure your dog. Acorn Dog Training Club reserves the right to refuse a booking for any animal which is not insured.

•    If the trainer falls ill or are unable to carry out their usual duties and no immediate replacement is available, you will be contacted via email or phone and your session will be rescheduled at no extra cost.

•    All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during training sessions and Acorn Dog Training Club is not to be held liable should an injury or accident occur whilst in or around the grounds of training.

•    By choosing to attend, you agree to take full responsibility for your own safety, the safety of all parties accompanying you and the safety of your dog. We accept no responsibility for any damage to, theft of, or from your vehicle. Please do not leave valuables in your car.

•    In the event of an emergency, leave the building/training area via the quickest and safest route and assemble at the entrance to the car park. Owners always remain responsible for their dogs and are to take account of any visitors that accompanied them.

•    Acorn Dog Training Club accepts no liability for faulty products/treats purchased. All liability remains with the original seller/manufacturer. Acorn Dog training Club will provide all contact details should an issue arise.

Group Classes - Payments & Refunds

•    For any classes booked, the charge is required upfront to reserve your space. If payment has not been received via the booking system or BACS, your space will not be held.

•    Payment for weekly classes is taken in a 4 week block booking system, payable on your first session. Payment is still required for classes unattended which secures your space in the class. If your dog is ill please let the appropriate trainer know before your class is due and payment may be rolled over for the missed sessions. However this decision lies solely with Acorn Dog Training Club and is not a guarantee.

•    When paying for a set course, if you fail to attend any training sessions that you have paid for, the full fee is retained by Acorn Dog Training Club. Course fees do not roll over for missed sessions. These are forfeited by you, the participant. No refunds are offered. If you miss more than half of the course, you may be offered alternative training. This decision lies solely with Acorn Dog Training Club and is not a guarantee.

Training and Behaviour 121s - Payments & Refunds

•    For any and all services booked, the full charge is required as a whole amount upfront.

•    You are able to reschedule all and any 121 training and behaviour sessions up to 48 hours before commencement at no charge.

•    Cancellations made within 48 hours of your session for any reason will result in the full session fee being forfeited. No refunds will be given.

•    All 121 packages must be used within 8 months of booking. Any sessions not used after this period will be forfeited.

Photos & Social Media

•    You hereby agree, irrevocably and for no royalties or other compensation, to all and any use by Acorn Dog Training Club of any photos, videos or audio recordings taken during training sessions for the purpose of marketing on our company website, social media pages or for the purpose of demonstration videos, tutorials or other educational or informational material as may be produced and marketed from time to time.
